Condensate Extraction High Speed Centrifugal Pump
Optimized for power plant condensate extraction service, this high speed centrifugal pump reliably handles low-NPSHa steam condensate in vacuum conditions near saturation pressure. The 316 stainless steel construction prevents corrosion from deaerated feedwater while the inducer-equipped impeller ensures stable operation under challenging suction conditions.

Power Plant Reliability Features
- Ultra-Low NPSHr: Custom-designed axial inducer ahead of the centrifugal impeller enables stable operation at NPSH margins as low as 0.3 meters above NPSHr.
- Flooded Suction Can Design: Vertical barrel/can arrangement ensures the first-stage impeller remains submerged, eliminating priming concerns during condenser hotwell level fluctuations.
- Thermal Stability: Controlled thermal growth design with centerline mounting maintains alignment from cold startup to full-load operating temperature.
- Continuous Duty Rated: Bearings, seals, and lubrication system engineered for 3-year uninterrupted operation between planned turnarounds.
- Condensate Polisher Compatible: 316 SS metallurgy resists ammonium chloride and organic acid corrosion from polished condensate.
Typical Installations
Main condensate extraction from surface condenser hotwells, condensate forwarding to deaerator, gland steam condenser circulation, and LP heater drain recovery in combined cycle, conventional thermal, and cogeneration power plants.
